March 8th is International Women's Day. Empowering women around the world is important to ensure global human security. Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner says, "Women's rights are human rights". Some of the world's women leaders were in Brussels on March 6th to discuss the critical contribution women make to solve the challenges of today's world.
